Larry Farley (Director): Larry is pleased to be at the helm again here at the Village, having previously directed Dial M for Murder and Harvey. He has also been seen in various roles at the Village, Toledo Rep, Toledo Ballet, and the River's End Players. Larry is an attorney and has, somehow, found the time to be the Drama Director at Evergreen High School for the past decade. His other interests include sports, old cars, and racing standard bred horses throughout the Midwest.
Kate Argow (Sylvie): Kate has been involved with academic theater, semi-professional theater and community theater. She has performed in everything from Shakespeare to Oscar Wilde to American musical comedy. Kate was last seen on the Village stage as Dr. Lake in Night Watch.
Jake Gordy (Jesus Costazuela): Village audiences may remember Jake from this season's 70, Girls, 70 or Last Night of Ballyhoo, Bobby from last year's Cabaret, or as the loveable yet affable Wally from The 1940's Radio Hour. He has also performed with the Oberon Theater and River's End Players. Jake is a Network Administrator for TekSystems by day, and considers acting his "true calling". Last year, we elected Jake to the Village Board as an "At Large" member, he is also our WebMaster.
Lynnie Heinemann (Vera): Lynnie renewed her interest in the theatre after taking some Adult Acting Classes at the Toledo Rep. She was then cast as Chick in U.T.'s production of Crimes of the Heart. Since then she's had a few small roles at the Rep and has also become active with the Genoa Civic Theatre. When not "treading the boards" Lynnie is a Recreational Therapist at St. Luke's Hospital. The cast is so happy to be sharing Lynnie's Village debut with her, and she would like to thank the cast and crew for "Welcoming in the new kid on the block".
Nancy Janney (Mickey): Nancy has been associated with the Village for over 30 years, both on and off the stage. She was recently seen as Bertha in Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild. Recent productions at the Village that she has performed in are Octette Bridge Club, Night Watch and Speaking of Murder. Other productions at the Village that she has appeared in over the years include Streetcar Named Desire, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail.
When not at the theatre, Nancy "performs" as the Supervisor of Circulation Services at the Sylvania Branch Library.
Debbie Marinik (Florence Unger): Debbie's last role was as a dog in Sylvia, three seasons ago, but now that she's housebroken, we've welcomed her back to the stage. Debbie actually works quite a bit behind the scenes. Besides being a board member, she stage manages many shows, works on props, and also lights. She's fairly certain that the theatre is her only hobby to speak of, but when not here, she can be found at Boogie Records. She would like to extend a special "Thanks!" to Dan & Molly for drilling her lines into her head.
Jean Mills (Olive Madison): Jean has been involved in theatre since grade school (which was just a few years ago) in Oak Park, Illinois. She met her husband, Norb, in a college production in Minnesota. She has been a "Village Player" for 20 years now, and most recently graced our stage as Ida Dodd in 70, Girls, 70, Reba in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret, Mildred in The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild, and Charlotte in Moon Over Buffalo. In her non-theatre hours, Jean is a teacher and chair of the Learning Disabilities department at Maumee High School. Her other loves are travel and attending plays.
Brenda Sweeney (Renee): Brenda has been involved in theatre for 35 years! Her favorite roles include; Eliza in My Fair Lady, Desiree in A Little Night Music, Agnes in I Do, I Do, Luisa in The Fantastics, and the one-woman show on Edith Piaf. She has also played Madame Merteuil in Liaisons Dangereuses, Aunty Mame in Mame, many voice-overs and commercials. By day, Brenda is a teacher of English and speech & drama at Waite High School. In her spare time she can be found reading, taking long walks or fiddling with her dollhouse. She is also a board member for The Village Players. She would like to thank Patrick her husband, and Martin and Joshua her sons for being tolerant of her theatrical endeavors.
Don Weber (Manolo Costazuela): Don is "berry, berry happy" to be on stage once again. An award winning actor, Don has performed with numerous theatre companies in N.W. Ohio over the past 30 years including The Village Players, The Toledo Rep, and the former Westgate Dinner Theatre. Among his favorite roles: "Pseudolous" in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; "Snoopy" in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; "Oscar" in The Odd Couple; and "George" in Same Time, Next Year. His hobbies include sailing and attempting to take up the game of golf. He is deeply grateful to Kathie & Ellison for supporting his theatrical pursuits.
