It Had to be You

The Directors

Aggie Alt (Director) Aggie graduated from BGSU with a Masters Degree in Directing.  She had the privilege of owning her own dinner theatre in Virginia Beach, which offered her the opportunity to work with Jim Wann of Pump Boys and Dinettes.  She is currently the proud (but struggling) owner of a new retail store, "Whose Your Buddy", a pet supply store for the pet who deserves everything.  Stop by and ask her about "Doggies"! It's located in Perrysburg off Louisiana Ave. right behind The Pet Spa .. just follow the paw prints.  Her last performance on stage was here at the Village in Prelude to a Kiss

The Cast

Debbie Marinik (Theda Blau) Deb is thrilled to return to the Village stage after completing her whirlwind book tour promoting her non-fiction tome "My Secret Life as a Shiksa" The Abrahmic Years".  With the end of her tour, she can return to her first love, weaving the soft underbelly hairs of golden retrievers.  On the personal front she is busy campaigning for her daughter to star in "Girls Gone Wild, Ohio" .. go Molly!  When not moonlighting as a Hooter's calendar girl, she can be found on the slopes pursuing her dream of being the first Midwestern record store owner to scale Everest.  See you at the summit.

Larry Farley (Vito Pignoli) Larry was found as a baby by a herd of horses in the American West.  He learned their ways and was caught one summer in a Department of the Interior wild horse roundup.  After being branded he was adopted and sent to a very nice family in Ohio where he developed into the striking specimen he is today.
One thing his early experiences allowed him to do was appreciate the real meaning behind the often misunderstood comments directed to him of "jackass" and "horse face" in his human world as he had met many wonderful jackasses in his youth and knew the beauty that is the face of the equine.
Larry has continued his association with animals, as hi has been a practicing attorney for the past 26 years.
Further, he has continued his free spirited nature by engaging in theatrical performances with the Village Players, Toledo Rep, Croswell, Toledo Ballet, Archbold Community Players and others including acting as equine interpreter to the Director on the motion picture "Seabiscuit".
Larry was first onstage with Ms. Marinik over 20 years ago and has always cherished the memories of her comparing his acting to that of a horse's patoot.  A more flattering comment he has never received.
You might remember Larry from last season's Last Meeting of the Knights of the White Magnolia and he will be directing the Village's next production One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest having last directed the Steinbeck classic Of Mice and Men.
On sunny days you can find Larry grazing in his pasture in Berkey, Ohio waiting to appear on "Law and Order" like every other actor in America.
