
Pat Kennedy (Director): No stranger to the Village, Pat has worn many hats over the years in our theatre. From actor to director, to techie, to Board member and past President, Pat's dedication to the preservation of theatre arts is legendary. Her professional career has been as life long member of the Toledo Public Schools, first as a teacher, then principal, and currently a very active member of the Board of Education. Pat's last productions at the Village include the multi-OCTA-award-winning Sylvia, Moon Over Buffalo and last season's The Last Night of Ballyhoo.
Cory Trares (Lucas): Cory has performed in several shows at Perrysburg High School, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Bye, Bye Birdie, The Odd Couple, Once Upon a Wolf, and This is a Test. Cory plans to major in theatre next year after he graduates.
Don Weber (Milt): Don is an award winning actor, having performed with numerous theatre companies in the area over the past 30 years including The Croswell Opera House, The Toledo Rep, and the former Westgate Dinner Theatre. Among his favorite roles: "Pseudolous" in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; "Snoopy" in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; "Oscar" in The Odd Couple; and "George" in Same Time, Next Year. Don is pretty sure he wins the unofficial "Actor with the Fans Who Traveled the Farthest" award, since his newly-discovered cousins traveled all the way from Antwerp, Belgium to see him perform. He dedicates the show to Mouch & Astrid is also deeply grateful to Kathie & Ellison for supporting his theatrical pursuits.
Joel Ungerleider (Val): Joel has enjoyed 50 years of community theatre. In this period of time he has played everything from tragedy to comedy and loved every minute on stage. His last Village appearance was Zaretsky in Conversations with My Father. Joel is enjoying his retirement and continues to perform his magic act and pursue many hobbies. He serves on many community boards and, thanks to an understanding wife, keeps busy and active.
Tom Kleinert (Brian): Tom is excited to be making his Village Players debut. Tom is no stranger to Toledo theatre, having appeared in numerous productions from the Rep to the University of Toledo. Professionally Tom has performed at Gramma Rose’s, with Harold’s Pilgrims, Muse Machine, and the Rep’s "Young Playgoers". Tom is also a member of the Around the Bend Players, an improv comedy troupe.
Rich Harrison (Kenny): Rich has appeared on the Village stage several times over the past few years, most recently in Moon Over Buffalo and last season's 70 Girls, 70. A native Southerner, Rich is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, but has been a long-time resident of Toledo and has resided in the Old West End for 20 years. In real life, Rich is an Information Systems Consultant with Addsum Company. Sandwiched between work and renovation of his home, he plays golf, is an avid sports fan and is lucky enough to enjoy his two granddaughters just about every day.
Sybil Small (Carol): Sybil debuted at the Village in All the Way Home in January of 1968. Most recently she has appeared in here in Beau Jest and Crossing Delancey. Sybil began acting in Philadelphia as a child and has worked off-Broadway in New York, as well as on radio and TV. Her favorite roles include those in Prisoner of 2nd Ave., Brighton Beach Memoirs, The Rose Tattoo, Death of a Salesman, and Macbeth. Sybil is employed at the University of Toledo in the English Department and has a love for painting, gardening, traveling, cooking and typing. She says, "I played an 80 year old woman when I was a pregnant 28 year old. Now I'm reversing it…go figure!"
Rob Gentry (Max): This is the second show of the summer for Rob, having performed in the Toledo Rep's production of Funny Money in July. You may (or may not) remember Rob from his last performance on the Village stage in The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild in which he appeared as six different characters. Rob is the Director of Theatre at Perrysburg High School and enjoys the chance to demonstrate on stage what he teaches in the classroom.
Kate Argow (Helen): Kate has performed in everything from Shakespeare to musical comedy. Currently, she is absorbed with "Brilliant Ideas", her bead jewelry company that specializes in personal orders - just ask her!
Tom Hofbauer (Ira): Tom returns to the Village having last appeared as Glenn in Neil Simon's Rumors. His most recent stage role was Dan Henniman in Down the Road at the Toledo Rep. He has also appeared on stage in Los Angeles in the title role in Mister Roberts and as Paul Friedman in 6 Rms RivVu. In addition to being a stand-up comedian, Tom is the producer/director for the Around the Bend Players improvisational comedy troupe, which performs at the Board Room restaurant in downtown Toledo. If all goes well in the next several months, Tom hopes to be producing a digital feature film here in Toledo for film festival consideration. He is happy to be back amongst friends at the Village.
