The Director

Pat Mahoney (Director) directs and acts. His directing credits include Everybody Loves Opal, Steel Magnolias, and Funny Money. As an actor Pat last appeared at The Village as Dick Jensen in The Best Man. He has also appeared as Allan in Play it Again, Sam, Ken in Rumours, Charlie in On Golden Pond, and the Constable in Fiddler on the Roof. He is proud of his performance as Flatware in Beauty and the Beast. Pat earned an MBA in Finance and serves as a Board Member here at The Village and for the Association of Two Toledos. During the day he serves as an Account Manager for National Nail Corporation. Pat would like to thank his producers, Laura and Derek for making this the easiest show for which he's been involved. The Village Players board for allowing him the opportunity to direct this show, and the cast for the immense amount of time, effort and patience they have invested.

J. Judson Lohman (Assistant Director) is a 2006 graduate of Wittenberg University with Majors in Theatre and Visual Arts. He made his debut in the Toledo theatre community in 2006 with the Harvest Theatre. After a successful spell as the resident scene designer and go to tech guy there, he's come to the Village Players as a stage manager; and now assistant director.

The Cast

Zac Gilley (Tobias) has been active in Toledo theatre for the past seven years. At the Village, he played Ben in Cherchez Dave Robicheaux, Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing as well as Sebastian in The Rover, and Leonato in Much Ado… at Owens Community College. A man of many talents, he enjoys brewing, medieval research and re-creation and performing comedy. You can catch Zac DJ-ing in numerous venues across the Northwest Ohio.

Marcia Weisenburger (Marsha) is making her stage debut after a seven year hiatus, last seen at the Village in Angry Housewives. A stage manager by trade, she has recently worked on Wrong For Each Other, A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum, and has also assisted with costumes in a number of other productions. "I want to thank my family for their love and support. I am truly blessed. I also want to thank the community for its continued support. Without it, some of us would never get to find out our hidden talents."

Larry "Keith" Daniel (Virgil) is a recent addition to the local community theatre scene. He's acted in two musicals, portraying Thurston Howell III in Gilligan's Island, the Musical and a salesman in The Music Man, as well as helping with set design and lighting, all at the Oregon Community Theatre. He is also a member of the Theatre League. When not onstage, he enjoys bass fishing, carpentry, and planning his next Disney vacation with his wife, four kids and grandchildren. Keith is currently employed as an inspector for the Buckeye Cable System.

Sara Speelman (Persis) was last seen on the Village stage as Gymnasia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. A recent graduate from Owens, she is currently working on her bachelors degree in Social Work and is a employed as a paraprofessional for Toledo Public Schools. Sara would like to thank her mom for all the time she spent working on the costumes!

Amanda Rose Ramirez (Bianca) is making her Village Players debut. She is a recent graduate of Waite High School where she landed the 2nd female lead in Murder Runs In The Family. She can also be seen in the local independent film, Nothing Happened, from Mantis and Moon Motion Pictures. Amanda is currently a student at Owens Community College.

Diana West (Lynette) is no stranger to The Village stage. For over 25 years, she has acted in a multitude of productions, as well as served as a former board member and Secretary. Her most notable performances were in Not Waving, Lips Together, Teeth Apart, Rumors, and most recently in The Best Man. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, operating her own internet business, and traveling to her favorite place on Earth twice a year, Isla Mujeres, Mexico.

Ian Joseph Alberts (Ben) is a recent graduate of the University of Toledo with a major in History and minor in writing. In his spare time he enjoys poetry readings, writing, hiking, cooking, and assisting in archeological digs. Ben is making his acting debut in at The Village Players. Welcome, Ian!.
