The Director

John Henry (Director)
Murder in Green Meadows will be John's 6th time serving as a director for the Village Players, having previously directed Pvt. Wars, Mixed Emotions, The Last Meeting of the Knights of the White Magnolia, Wrong Turn at Lungfish, and LuAnn Hampton Laverty Oberlander.

Mark Malley (Director)
Marc would like to thank John Henry for the opportunity to Co-Direct "Murder in Green Meadows. Marc, Board Secretary here at The Village, can usually be found up in the sound booth. In actor mode he most recently appeared as Rafe in LuAnn Hampton Laverty Oberlander and Martin in Social Security.
 

The Cast

Maggie Koehler (Carolyn Symons)
This is Maggie's first production with the Village Players. Previous work includes Noises Off, Murder at the Howard Johnsons, The Boys Next Door, To Gillian on her 37th Birthday, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, and The Real Inspector Hound. She would like to thank her Mom, Aunt and Abby, Ian, and Noah for all their love and support.

Jim Trumm (Thomas Devereaux)
Jim made his Village Players debut last spring as the ursophobic dentist in On Golden Pond. Since then, he has bicycled across the state of Georgia, kayaked the Gauley River in West Virginia and driven John Henry's vintage MG. He is married to the inestimable Susan Doktor and is the father of fourteen-year-old twin sons, Joshua and Spencer. In his spare time, he teaches philosophy, humanities and writing at Owens College.

Ben Lumbrezer (Jeff Symons)
Ben is happy to once again appear on the Village Players stage. Ben has been seen in many roles, including Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, George in Of Mice and Men, Corky in Lu Ann Hampton Laverty Oberlander, and several others that he has either blocked out or can't recall to protect the innocent. Most recently he was seen as Phil in The Shape of Things. He would like to thank his wife Thereasa for her support and her willingness to once again become a theater widow.

Suzanne Jennens (Joan Devereaux)
Suzanne has portrayed the angry May in Fool for Love, the conniving Countess in A Little Night Music, the selfish Lee in Marvin's Room, and the evil Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, all for Village audiences. Some of her other favorite roles include Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Kate in Sylvia and Bella in Lost in Yonkers. She has performed throughout much of the Toledo area in Tiffin, Adrian, Bedford, at the University of Toledo, Ms. Rose's and the Toledo Rep. Suzanne, a former drama and English teacher, presently teaches Spanish at Whitmer High School by day. She is thrilled to present her interpretation of the abused woman in "Murder in Green Meadows" for you tonight!
