Aggie Alt (Director): Aggie graduated from BGSU with a Masters Degree in Directing. She had the privilege of owning her own dinner theatre in Virginia Beach, which offered her the opportunity to work with Jim Wann of Pump Boys and Dinnettes. She is currently a partner in a video production company called "Prairie Dog Media" (www.prairiedogmedia.com) for all of your video needs including picture to video transfers and weddings ("Wel-l-l, I needed a plug... its a new business!") Her last performance on stage was here at the Village in Prelude to a Kiss.
Jim Rudes (Willie Clark): A member of the Lake Erie West Hall of Fame for the Performing Arts, Jim has been an actor on the community and professional level for more than fifty years. Among his favorite roles: Father Farley in Mass Appeal, Granda in And a Nightingale Sang (both at the Village), Matthew Harrison Brady in Inherit The Wind, Norman Thayer in On Golden Pond and Commander Queeg in The Caine Mutiny Court-martial. The Ohio community Theater Association has twice honored him with Excellence in Acting awards. Married to Patricia (another Village favorite) they have two daughters and four grandchildren. In July Jim and Pat will be performing in On Golden Pond at a professional summer theater in Canada.
Denise Brown (Willie's niece): The Village would like to welcome Denise on her debut performance on our stage. Previous theatre experiences have been with the University of Toledo and Genoa Community Theatre. She has also taught creative dramatics and directed for the Children's Theater Workshop. Denise is a teacher for the Toledo Public Schools.
Don Weber (Al Lewis): Don is an award-winning actor, having performed with numerous theatre companies in the area over the past 30 years including The Croswell Opera House, The Rep, and the former Westgate Dinner Theatre. If you didn't blink, you also saw him in Toledo Opera's Die Fleidermaus at the Valentine Theate. Among his favorite roles: "Pseudolous" in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; "Snoopy" in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; and "Oscar" in The Odd Couple. He would like to express how deeply grateful he is to Kathie & Ellison for supporting his theatrical pursuits. Don dedicates his performance to the memory of Pat Kennedy, who taught him so much about theatre and whom he misses very much.
Vic Gauger (Patient): Originally from the Chicago area, Vic has lived in Toledo now for nearly five years with his wife, Nancy, and two teenage girls, Caroline and Eve. Vic has no real credits to list as this is his re-entry into theatre since taking classes at Second City twenty years ago. Vic enjoys singing and is not shy about speaking in public. He would love to combine his passion for fishing with his interest in theatre and someday have his own TV fishing show.
Oscar Bibblesworth (Eddie): This is Oscar's first contemporary American theatrical comedy, and he is bemused to do it on the Village stage. He was last seen as "Jonah" in When I Whale, I Cry which followed his critically acclaimed portrayal of "Denephew" in The Odd Brother of Denise, both at The Sir Reginald Community Theatre in Boise, Idaho. In his spare time Oscar enjoys practicing scat with the members of the Mel Torme Fan Club, where he is also the president.
Megan Ray (Nurse): Megan is 20 yrs old and a 2001 graduate of Whitmer High School. This is Megan's third show at the Village. She appeared in the season opener, Suds as Cindy, and was also Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music. Other shows include- Maria- The Sound of Music, Marty- Grease, Pie Woman/Caroler- 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Aunt Em- The Wiz, and Lady Larkin- Once Upon a Mattress, just to name a few. She is currently working at both The Anderson's and Eddie Bauer. Megan would like to thank all her friends and family for their love and support, especially her parents. What she really wants to know, however, is how she was standing on two street corners that run parallel to each other and never intersect… Oh, that raises some interesting questions!
Kate Argow (Registered Nurse): Kate was last seen at the Village as the mother in Children. Kate's acting career has ranged from Shakespeare to Restoration Comedy to Tennessee Williams to musical comedy. She has also been active behind the scenes as a technician, a murder mystery writer, and a former board member of The Village Players. Her current passion is her jewelry business, Brilliant Ideas, Ltd. Just ask her!
