Larry Farley (Director) Larry was born to an itinerant cowpuncher and trapeze artist. He says that’s why he enjoys hamburger and “swinging on life’s edge.” He believes that he gets his artistic talent from his mother who paints western scenes with tobacco juice she spits on the canvas. “She can hit a gnat at 30 feet,” he notes. Larry welcomes the chance to work with his former partner, Debbie Marinik, and invites all of you to visit them at their new store “Faith Healing and Bagels” opening soon at the Westfield shopping mall. Finally, Larry wants you to know that he had his wife, Becky, hand sew (no machine) all the costumes for the show. “Nothing is too good for my audience,” says Larry. Donations to help Larry with his pending alimony payments will by accepted in the lobby.
Debbie Marinik (Assistant Director) Debbie Marinik is happy to be returning to the Village Players after recently performing in the Sarasota Dinner Theatre production of Blazing Saddles where she starred as Lily Von Shtup. But she is especially thrilled to be reunited with her ice dancing partner, Larry Farley, with whom many will remember they captured the bronze for the United States in the 1976 Olympic Games with their breathtaking routine to “Born Free.” Debbie is a graduate of the Oral Roberts University with a doctorate in healing and culinary arts with a specialty in soul food.

Ed Burnham (Thurston Wheelis, Bertha Bumiller, Elmer Wadkins, Aunt Pearl Burras, Leonard Childers, Ike Thompson, R.R. Snavely, Sheriff Buford Givens, Inita Goodwin, Phoebe (voice) and Joe Bob Lipsey) Back in 1974 I was offered a job in a faraway place called Toledo. I immediately accepted, left my home state of Florida and flew north to the city of rocket football, mud hens baseball, and some of the neatest theatre people ever! I married one of them, and I have maintained a 30 year friendship with all the others! Despite the fact that my on-stage work has been very limited in the last few years how could I resist taking on 11 different wacko personalities and showing the world how silly a guy can be! Enjoy your visit to Tuna!
