John Henry (Director) "A man of many talents" barely begins to describe this dedicated thespian. John has been an usher, a house manager, light and sound tech, spot operator, set designer and builder, painter, scenic artist, box office attendant ... the list goes on. John is also an accomplished actor, having appeared in Arsenic and Old Lace, Of Mice and Men, and Painting Churches, but that's only since 1999. Additionally, John is an OCTA award-winning director for his debut production of Pvt. Wars. With such a diverse background in the theatrical craft, you can understand why he's one of our most cherished volunteers. When not here, John enjoys old British cars, motorcycles, history and archaeology, but we have a hard time letting him go long enough to get around to those things.
Norb Mills (Peter Ravenswaal) Husband, traveler,
dancer, golfer, professor, actor, just a few of the hats that Norb wears on a
regular basis. Norb is no stranger to the Village stage having appeared in
Last Meeting of the Knights of the White
Magnolia (last season), Mixed Emotions
(opposite his wife, Jean), Dames at Sea,
and Cabaret, just to name a few. He is an OCTA
Award winning Actor and Director as well as President of the Village Players'
Board of Directors. When not doing any of the above, he and Jean may be found at
their lakeside cabin in Minnesota. "I can relate to Ravenswall," says Norb. "The
current production, in some ways, mirrors my professional life."
Angela Gage (Nurse) Angela is making her speaking debut on the
Village stage! She has appeared in A
Little Night Music, but she said not a peep as a maid. Angela knows her
way around, though. She has worked with us since 70,
Girls, 70, but she has always been behind the scenes. She has worked
lights, props, costumes and myriad other tasks. In her spare time, she enjoys
writing, reading, spending time with her sister, and "anything involving a
theater." Congratulations, Angela!
Rachel Wengrow (Anita) Rachel was first seen at the Village in
last season's Over The River and Through the
Woods. Previously she had been seen in The Last Night of Ballyhoo
and Two Gentlemen of Verona at Ohio State University, Twelfth Night
at UT, and Our Town and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at
Southview High School. By day, Rachel is a Media Coordinator for Fruchtman
Marketing. She'd like to thank her family, friends and colleagues for their
support. Welcome back to our stage!
Ben Lumbrezer (Dominic) is no stranger to the Village. Most
recently he played Lou & Dee in
Cherchez Dave Robicheaux, Benedick in
Much Ado About Nothing and George in Of
Mice and Men. Over the past eight years he has also performed in
Six Degrees of Separation,
1940's Radio Hour,
Abandoned Houses,
White Liars/Black Comedy,
Conversations With My Father,
Moon Over Buffalo,
Last Night of Ballyhoo, and many
more that he can't recall or has blocked out. He is a past Vice-President of
Production. By day Ben is Marketing Coordinator for Business Voice. In his spare
time he enjoys backpacking, canoeing, camping and other outdoor activities. Ben
would like to thank his new wife Thereasa for her support and encouragement.
He’d also like to say welcome to his new nephew, Alexander Michel (Sept. was a
good month for Ben).
