Matt Wiederhold (Director) Currently president of The Village Players, Matt is thrilled to bring his twisted vision of Cabaret to life with such a talented cast! He has also directed The 1940's Radio Hour, and was last seen as Andy in Greetings, both with The Village. 1998 marks the tenth year of his passion for theater, beginning with The Bedford Community Players' production of 42nd Street with cast members Terry Watson and Debbie Brescol. The Public Information Assistant at The Toledo Museum of Art by day, his "spare" time is spent restoring The Green Monster, his dream house in the Old West End. He would like to say a special thanks to Michael for support, Mom for producing, and friends for putting up with him
Tracy Glover (Music Director) Tracy is working on her Masters in Vocal Performance at The University of Toledo. She as performed as Reuben's wife in Joseph... at the Croswell and as Josie and Music Director for The Village production of The 1940's Radio Hour. We are honored to have her talent back on stage with us!
Wes Skinner (Choreographer) Actively involved in dance and theater for the last 30 years, Wes has received his BFA in dance with a minor in musical theater from the Boston Conservatory of Music. He has spent several years in New York, performing in West Side and Camelot. Wes has also directed The Roar of the Greasepaint and Rogers and Hart at The Village. Besides being a gifted dancer, Wes is a talented set designer and rehabs old houses in his spare time. Welcome back to The Village, Wes!
Laura A. Amico (Sally Bowles) Laura is thrilled to be appearing in her second Village show, having last appeared in The 1940s Radio Hour as Ann Collier. Other favorite roles include the Narrator in The Toledo Rep's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Anita in West Side Story, and most recently as Carrie in Carousel. Laura has also worked for several Toledo radio and TV stations. She now teaches voice and acting privately, and would like to thank her dear family and friends for all their faith and support. "This one's for you!"
Debbie Brescol (Kit Kat Chorus) Debbie has performed with many area theater groups such as Bedford Community Players, Monroe Community Players, and Oregon Community Players. We are thrilled to welcome this Program Co-Coordinator for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Monroe County to The Village.
Julie Bylow (Kit Kat Chorus) Julie has performed with Otsego High School in Cinderella and South Pacific, and with the Toledo Rep in Once Upon a Mattress. She would like to thank her friends, family and boyfriend, Justin, for their encouragement. When not on stage, Julie is a waitress at Koral Hamburg.
Joe Dennehy (Clifford Bradshaw) Favorite roles include Stewpot in South Pacific at the Croswell and chorus in Carousel and West Side Story at The Rep. By day Joe is a production manager at Inshield Die & Stamping. Welcome to The Village, Joe
Jake Gordy (Kit Kat Chorus) Village audiences may remember Jake as the loveable yet affable Wally from The 1940's Radio Hour. He has also performed with the Oberon Theater and River's End Players. Jake is a Network Administrator at TekSystems by day, and considers acting his hobby. Welcome back, Jake!
Derek Hansen (Ernst Ludwig) Derek was last seen on The Village stage in last season's Greetings as the mentally disturbed Mickey. He has also performed with the University of Toledo and The Toledo Rep. We're glad to have this talented actor back on stage! He would like to extend special thanks to his love, Becky.
Sondra Henry (Kit Kat Chorus) Usually Sondra hangs out backstage working on costumes or props, but we persuaded her to follow her love for dance and try out the footlights. Her last performance was in high school in 1958. Sondra works in the Toxicology Lab at MCO.
William T. Kusmierek (Kit Kat Chorus) We are happy to have the fluid William in the cast for Cabaret. Past favorite roles include Stage Manager in Our Town, and chorus and principal dancer in Jesus Christ, SuperStar and Carousel with The Toledo Rep. By day William is a Department Head at TGI Fridays.
Jackie Mierzejewski (Kit Kat Chorus & Gorilla) A seasoned performer in such plays as George M. Sugar, A Day in Hollywood/A Nigh in the Ukraine, and many more, we're pleased to have Jackie back on The Village stage. Jackie is a 2nd grade teacher in the Toledo Public Schools and is in charge of Sold Houses for The Village.
Jean Mills (Fraulein Schneider) One of Toledo's most talented comedic actresses, recent roles at The Village include Mildred Wild in The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild, Miss Furnival in Black Comedy, and Kate in Sylvia. A teacher and Chair of the Learning Disabilities Department at Maumee High School, Jean and her husband, Norb, had the honor to "steal" a waltz in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles!
Norb Mills (Herr Schultz) Another veteran performer at The Village, Norb has been seen in our productions of Black Comedy, Shadowlands, and Inherit the Wind. Norb is currently Vice President of Development for The Village, and a Professor of Communications at the University of Toledo.
Ron Rothenbuhler (Kit Kat Chorus & Train Officer) Cabaret marks Ron's second time on stage ever, having just completed The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild here at The Village. According to Ron, he can't sing or dance, but we think he's doing just fine! Welcome back, Ron!
Trish Stewart (Kit Kat Chorus) This marks Trish's first show ever, and we are pleased to welcome her to The Village stage. A Network Analyst for the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council by day, she is a self described late bloomer. Welcome, Trish!
Terry R. Watson (Emcee) Terry is one of the most versatile performers in the city, playing such roles as the Phantom in Pinchpenny Phantom of the Opera, and Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, both with The Village, and Bert Barry in 42nd Street with Bedford Community Players and Black Swamp Players. Terry also choreographs for local high school productions, and loves to shop with his wife! This is Terry's second time as the Emcee in Cabaret and would like to dedicate his performance to the memory of his father, Forrest.
