Fool For Love

The Director

Rob Turley (Director) Rob last appeared as an actor on the Village stage in the role of Tyler Moss in Crossing Delancy. Other favorite roles have been in Crimes of the Heart and Blithe Spirit. Before coming to Toledo Rob was at Florida State University where he studied drama as part of his degree in the humanities. Currently Rob is an Associate Professor of Humanities at the University of Toledo. When not involved in theatre projects his creative interests turn to visual arts in the area of sculpture and black and white photography. He is grateful to his wife Joan and sons Zach and Noah "who tolerate my time away from home during theatre productions and who always support my work."

The Cast

Suzanne McGraw (May) Suzanne is thrilled to be back on the Village stage in such a wonderfully intense role. She was last seen at the Village two years ago as Lee in Marvin's Room. There is nothing about theatre that Suzanne doesn't love. She has worked behind the scenes on tech, sets, and costumes and she is excited to travel to New York, Stratford, and Chicago to be a member of the audience. She has even taught drama in her professional life. Her favorite stage roles are Bella in Lost in Yonkers in Tiffin, Lee in Stanton's Garagein Adrian, and Susan in Company on our stage. Audiences have also seen her in productions of the Toledo Rep and Bedford Players. A high school Spanish teacher by day, Suzanne is delighted to entertain you by night!

Jayson Huysman (Eddie) Jayson is new to the Village stage but brings with him an impressive theatre resume. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Toledo. He has appeared in many of their fine productions including: Hamlet, Spoon River Anthology, Betrayal, Romeo and Juliet, and Sex, Drugs, and Rock ‘N Roll. As if the UT Theatre Department did not take up enough of his time, Jayson also works at their Student Recreation Center. Welcome, to the Village Jayson. We hope this role is the first of many in our theatre you will add to your resume!

Rick Woods (Martin) What can we say about Rick that hasn't already been said! He was a major "scene stealer" in the Village's smash hit last year, 1940's Radio Hour. Prior to that he appeared as the tough talking truck driver/debonair gas man in Working. Other roles include Glenn Cooper in Rumors, Barnette in Crimes of the Heart with the Bedford Players, and most recently Choreographer/Jim Dillingham in Gifts of the Maji at Ms. Rose's Dinner Theatre. Regulars at the Spaghetti Warehouse enjoy his performances at their Thursday night Mystery Theatre. Rick thanks his family, and friends, especially his "pal" at Red Lobster, for their love and support.

Allen Campo (The Old Man) Allan moved to Toledo from Los Angeles four years ago, following his retirement from the Postal Service. In his third season as a lighting crew volunteer at the Village, Allan now finds himself making his first stage appearance. He is also a former English teacher, and his principal retirement project has been editing the works of the late California poet William Everson for publication. He and his wife enjoy taking advantage of Toledo's wide range of cultural programs and activities. Allan wishes to thank Director Rob Turley for this acting opportunity and to express his gratitude to his wife, Nancy, for her enthusiastic encouragement. The Village is glad to have you Allan - on stage and off!!
