Patricia Kennedy (Director) No stranger to the Village, Pat has worn many
hats over the years in our theatre. From actor to director to techie to Board
member and past President. Pat's dedication to the preservation of theatre arts is legendary. In addition to her work at the Village she was
instrumental in the development of the Children's Theatre Workshop. Her professional career has been as life long member of the Toledo
Public Schools, first as a teacher, then principal, and currently a very active member of the Board of Education. Pat's last productions at the
Village include the multi-OCTA-award-winning Sylvia, Black Comedy,
and last season's Moon Over Buffalo.
Sherry Ballou (Boo Levy) Sherry considers Atlanta home; she studied acting there and met her beloved Bill there 26 years ago. She has been away from the stage for a couple of years pursuing other interests. She has, however, performed in mystery dinner theatre and TV commercials during the interim. Sherry was on the Board of Directors of the Village for several years and has worked backstage. She was most recently seen as "Karen" in Jake's Women and as "Little Nun" swigging down the beers in House of Blue Leaves. Sherry considers herself a character actress and is elated to add Boo to her repertoire. Thanks, Pat!
Jake Gordy (Peachy Weil) Village audiences may remember Jake as Bobby from last year's Cabaret, or as the loveable yet affable Wally from The 1940's Radio Hour. He has also performed with the Oberon Theater and River's End Players. Jake is a Network Administrator at TekSystems by day, and considers acting his hobby. Last year, we elected Jake to the Village Board as an "At Large" member. He is also our WebMaster.
Ben Lumbrezer (Joe Farkas) Ben was last seen on the Village stage as Paul in Moon Over Buffalo, and Joey in Conversations With My Father. He has also appeared in Trip to Bountiful, Abandoned Houses, White Liars, and The 1940's Radio Hour. Not content to only act, Ben has made his stage managing debut on Bountiful and has been on stage crew & props for many other Village productions. He currently serves as Vice President in charge of Production on The Village Board.Jean Mills (Reba Freitag) Jean is an OCTA award-winner (Sylvia) Village Player with an impressive resume of characters played. Last season Jean played the lead in The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild, Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret, and Charlotte in Moon Over Buffalo. Jean is a teacher and Chair of the Learning Disabilities Department at Maumee High School.
Norb Mills (Adolph Freitag) Norb brings over 37 years of experience in acting, producing and directing to The Village. He has twice been recognized by OCTA for acting performances. Norb is a member of the faculty of The Department of Communication at UT. Along with his wife Jean, Norb enjoys travel, golf, and dancing. He was last seen in Cabaret during the 1998-99 Village Players season.Kathy Piech (Lala Levy) Although Kathy is a stranger to Toledo, she's not to the stage. She's appeared in productions of: S'Wonderful, Rumors, Guys and Dolls, Music Man, Mame, The Empty Chair, and The Scheme of the Driftless Shifter. She's also worked backstage at Artpark in Niagara Falls and the Four Seasons Players in Lockport, NY. She has also sung for large audiences at the Cincinnati Gardens and the Buffalo Sabres arena. Kathy currently works at Owens Corning and resides with her cat, Buster, in Maumee.
Lauren Plungas (Sunny Freitag) Ballyhoo is Lauren's first appearance at The Village Players. She has been involved in various productions throughout her life including Crazy for You, Midsummers Nights Dream, and The Pirates of Penzance.
