Terry Watson (Director) Primarily a director of musicals, this is Terry's second effort at directing a non-musical having directed last season's critically acclaimed Greetings. He has acted in and choreographed Village productions of Pinchpenny Phantom of the Opera and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. He served several seasons on the Village Player Board of Directors. Terry thanks his mom for loving the theatre and thanks his wife, Janet, "for loving me and letting me do theatre".
Annette Blair (Sister Cecilia) Although Annette is newcomer to the Village, she certainly is no newcomer to the stage, having acted in numerous productions dating back to 1973. Some of her recent roles include Helga Tendorp in
Deathtrap, Raynelle in Dearly Departed, and Gwendolyn Pigeon in The Odd Couple
- all at the Waterville Playshop - as well as Yenta, the Matchmaker in Fiddler on the Roof
for the Grand Rapids Historical Society. Annette is the Supervisor of the Histocompatibility Laboratory at M.C.O. Her hobbies include tennis, quilting and spoiling her two beautiful grandchildren, Ashley (9) and Morgan (2). And, just for good measure, she also performs in Waterville Playshop's "Jukebox Saturday Night", a touring troupe who perform numbers from the 30's and 40's.
Rob Gentry (Carroll Chatham) Rob is an English, Speech, and Theatre teacher, and the Director of Theatre, at Perrysburg High School. He was last seen at the Village in the role of Ben in
God's Favorite and we are extremely pleased to have him back. Rob would like to dedicate his performance to the memory of his father, Bob Gentry.
John Henry (Ron Wild) John is another veteran of the Village stage, most recently appearing last season as Col. Melkett in
Black Comedy. Past productions include
Marvin's Room, That Championship Season, On Golden Pond, and
The Gin Game. He has involved himself off stage as well, performing countless tasks in whatever needs to be done. He thanks his wife, Sondra, for making it possible for him to continue to pursue theatre. John would like to dedicate this performance to John O'Toole, "The biggest man I know".
Nancy Janney (Bertha Gale) Nancy has been associated with the Village for over 26 years, both on and off the stage. She was recently seen as Connie in last season's
Octette Bridge Club and Helga in Night Watch. Nancy also appeared as Mrs. Walworth in
Speaking of Murder. Other productions at the Village include Streetcar Named
Desire, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and The Night Thoreau Spent in
Jail. When not at the theatre, Nancy is the Circulation Supervisor at the Sylvania Branch Library.)
Susan Miller (Miss Manley) We're pleased to welcome Susan back to the Village stage following her sparkling portrayal of Clea in last season's
Black Comedy. Susan has a Master's Degree in counseling and is a counselor in a local crisis center. She is active in mom's groups and Washington Church, and would like to acknowledge her husband, Todd, for his constant support and encouragement, and her son Jordan for his ready smiles after some long rehearsals.
Jean Mills (Mildred Wild) Jean is a veteran Village Player with an impressive resume of characters she has portrayed in shows including
Company and Working. She has also performed for a number of years with the Toledo Rep in
A Christmas Carol. Jean is a teacher and Chair of the Learning Disabilities Department at Maumee High School. Jean would especially like to thank her husband, Norb, for his support and encouragement
Ronald Rothenbuhler (Construction Worker) This is Ron's first time at the Village Players either on or off the stage. A man of few words, all we could "squeeze" out of Ron is that he acquired a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toledo and that he would like to acknowledge the love & support of his mother.
Joanne Toth (Helen Wild) Joanne has been a member of the Village since they moved into this building umpteen years ago (and has not seen the light of day since!) Although she loves acting she is really a "techie" at heart, especially stage managing because "it gives me a legitimate reason for telling people where to go". She has also been the editor of the Village newsletter
"The Greaseprint" and in charge of the opening night champagne receptions.
Tim Villarreal (Rex Bulby) Tim is another newcomer to the Village stage. A man of many talents, Tim not only acts but is a poet and author of
Dark Paths. He is currently a student at The University of Toledo. Tim would like to acknowledge Cienna Villarreal, Melissa Tormoehlen, and Margaret O'Brien.
