The Director

Julie Zatko (Director)   This is Julie's first time directing for the Village, but she is not unfamiliar with our theatre.  In the past she has designed lights for Moon Over Buffalo, Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild, White Liars, and acted in Working.  She is a senior at the University of Toledo with a major in Theatre, there, she has directed Waterbabies and acted in The Long and Short of It and A Little Night Music.  She also acted in Fiddler on the Roof at Fremont.  Julie was assistant director at Rossford High School from 1994 to 1997, and directed the Rossford Recreation Summer Theater from 1995 to 1997.  Congratulations Julie!

The Cast

John Henry (Gardner Church)  John is another veteran of the Village stage having been with the Village for 35 years!  Most recently he appeared last season as Ron Wild in Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild. Past productions include Black Comedy, Marvin's Room, That Championship Season, On Golden Pond, and The Gin Game. He has involved himself off stage as well, performing countless tasks in whatever needs to be done. He thanks Julie for giving him "Gar" and David Ward for showing him how.

Rhea Kimball (Margaret Church)  Rhea, a most talented actress, found us last year.  She worked crew for Conversations With My Father and Moon Over Buffalo.  She also performed in the Toledo Rep's production of Bones of Comedy for the MidWest Playwrights Festival.  She is no stranger to the stage having finished her college career with a Drama degree and spending 9 months traveling and performing in the one-person tour of Mr. Wizard Science Show.  Also, Rhea spent her summer of 1996 at the Huron Playhouse's Summer Stock.  She apparently likes us, because she now sits on the Board for The Village as our Vice President in charge of Public Relations.  We are grateful for all the hard work she has done, and hope to keep her around for many years.  Welcome to the Village, Rhea.

Sally Malhoit (Fanny Sedgwick Church)  Sally is once again gracing our stage and haring her talent.  Her past appearances include Martha in  Octette Bridge Club, Emily in  Greetings, Lotte in the Lettice and Lovage, Fonzia in The Gin Game and Fannie in Royal Family. By profession, Sally teaches oral interpretation at On Stage Studio in Maumee, she is otherwise retired. She assures us that she will never play to an empty house due to the fact that she has 16 grandchildren!  The Village thanks husband Jack for letting us have her this season!
