Auditions for Moving Day by Breianne Knight

Moving Day is a heartfelt, comedic play that follows an artist navigating a chaotic turning point in her life. Specializing in paintings, oils, acrylics, watercolors, and occasional sculpting work, the protagonist is given the chance to showcase at a major gallery exhibition, unfortunately the opportunity falls on the exact day her moving trucks arrive. A disastrous mix-up sends her artwork to her new apartment and her furniture to the gallery, setting off a chain of quirky misunderstandings, physical mishaps, and heartfelt moments of identity and reinvention
The Village is thrilled to be partnering with students from Toledo School for the Arts, who will be designing and creating the prop artwork for our main character for this production.

Audition Dates:
November 20th- 6-9 pm At The Village Players Theatre
November 21st- 3-6 pm At The Village Players Theatre
Potential Callbacks November 22nd- 12-2 pm At The Village Players Theatre
First Read Through November 28th 12 pm At The Village Players Theatre
Show dates:
January 29th - February 7th
Thurs-Sat 7 pm, Sun 2 pm
Rehearsals will typically take place Monday - Wednesday through December (with time off for holidays). And two potential Saturdays to accommodate other Village show schedules. (11/28, and 12/5)
And then Monday -Thursday in January.
What to Prepare:
Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script.
No prepared monologues are needed.
Please sign up for an audition slot. Be prepared to stay for the entire session time. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to your audition slot to complete your paperwork.

Can I review the script before auditions?
Reach out to each production team for more information on specific script availability. Certain directors will provide sides in their audition info. Many shows are available at the Toledo Library.
Do I need to bring a headshot or resume?
No, they are optional, but we welcome them if you have them.
Will I need to fill out any paperwork at auditions?
Yes, you will be asked to complete a brief information form at check-in.
